Tick control
The shady edge of the yard
Ticks don't live in the middle of a sunny lawn. They wait where it's shady and damp: leaf litter, fence lines and the edge where the yard meets a greenbelt. That's where we treat.
Where it fits
Yards that back onto a greenbelt, a creek or a wooded lot
Households with dogs that run the fence line
An add-on to a barrier spray or natural oils

What we do
Four steps, every visit
- 01
Step 1: Find the edge
We walk the shady edge and the fence line, and mark where the leaf litter is deepest.
- 02
Step 2: Reduce the habitat
We tell you what to rake and trim; a clear edge helps more than any treatment.
- 03
Step 3: Treat the edge
A narrow band along the mapped edge, in spring and again in fall.
- 04
Step 4: Leave a note
What we treated, and a reminder to check yourself and the dogs after time outdoors.
Before and after
What you do, and what we do
Before
Rake the leaf litter along the fence line if you can. It helps.
After
Check yourself and your dogs after time outdoors. Treatment doesn't replace that.
Spring and fall
The two tick seasons. We schedule the edge visits for both.
Questions about this service
Do you treat ticks too?
Yes, as an add-on along the shady edge of the yard: fence lines, leaf litter and where the lawn meets a greenbelt. It doesn't replace checking yourself and your dogs after time outside.
What about kids and pets?
Our applicators follow the product label on every visit. We tell you which parts of the yard to keep kids and pets off, and for how long, and we text you when it has dried. Ask us for the product list and we'll send it.
Will I have no mosquitoes?
No treatment does that. A good one cuts the number a lot, most of the time, for a few weeks at a stretch. Rain, heat and a neighbor's pond all change it. If they're back sooner than they should be, call or text and we come back to re-treat the same areas.
